Dear Colleagues and Friends of the KSCP,

Despite of the remarkable advances in the treatment, we are not able to conquer a formidable foe of humankind, “cancer” completely. For a perfect triumph against cancer, it is necessary to prevent cancer before its occurrence, and we are needed to join the efforts of experts from various disciplines. Based on this agreement, the Korean Society of Cancer Prevention (KSCP) began as a small research group bonded together by unprecedented interest and passion towards the prevention of cancer in 1996.

This year, the KSCP marks the 23rd anniversary on the basis of unsparing contribution and support by all of our members. We cordially invite you to attend International Conference on the 24th Annual Meeting of the KSCP to be held on Dec 13-14th, 2019 at Avison Biomedical Research Center, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Under the theme of “Integrative Cancer Prevention, Beyond the Science”, the KSCP will form a social consensus on cancer prevention with researchers, scientists, practitioners from academia, clinics, government agencies, and industry by sharing cutting-edge technologies ranging from basic to population-based studies and clinical applications.

The scientific program will include plenary lectures, keynote lectures, a special lecture and a series of symposia focusing on the latest research breakthroughs. In addition, a young investigator session and a poster session will be arranged for young scientists to present their researches. We are pleased to have many world-class scientists from different continents participating in this international conference. Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the cooperation and support from Korean Society of Epidemiology, Sookmyung Women’s University SRC, Clinical Trial Center for Functional Foods of Chonbuk Nat’l University, BK21 PLUS Project for Bioactive Nutrition of Yonsei University, and the industrial sponsors.

This two-day conference will provide a valuable opportunity for providing participants with the most updated information on the latest advancement in the field of cancer prevention and related disciplines. I am convinced that this meeting will also be a platform for attendants to exchange their ideas and to launch collaborations. We hope your active participation and sharing your knowledge and experiences with the members of the society and other participants.

With best wishes for an outstanding meeting,

Tae Il Kim, MD., Ph.D.
President
